My trip to Nantou!

I was trying to find some ways to relief all the tensions I’m having these days, so yeah I bought a ticket to nan tou, two of my friends were supposed to go along, however they’d overslept and couldn’t make it, so its just me, my grandpa & a cousin of mine. Obviously, on my previous post I’ve mentioned I’ll be heading to nan tou. Anyway, I’m gonna let the pictures do more of the talking, however I’ll explain in words in between these pictures and sorry these are not all the pictures I’ve taken, but yeah these are good to have a brief story of my trip.

The trip started off pretty well, as I’m happy I’d got my sleeping pattern back to the right order. We took off prolly at 6AM, was slightly disappointed in two of my pals of having a boisterous sleepless fun the night before which led to their hibernation early in the morning. Anyway, on our way, people started to eat in the bus, singing karaoke, at first I gotta admit to you, I was pretty shy as I’m the only one understanding english and only being able to sing english songs, so yeah, I did various stuffs to try to got my boredom out. But none’d worked so yeah, I ended up singing. roflmao!

3-4hours later, we arrived at our first stop. It was a temple still under-construction, and yeah we stopped there prolly around 1hr30mins, not much to do, went to the toilet, checked out several buddist god’s illustrations and all. Didn’t took much pictures though.

Then another 1hr 15mins drive, we reached “okay I dont know whats it called” but yeah its one of Taiwan’s biggest liquor factory if not mistaken its in “Tai Chung or San Yi”, sadly as soon as we reached there, there was a blackout, however we’d still get to test all kinds of alcohols available – all Taiwan Made. Then ate Ice-Creams(Any Flavor: Peanut, Corn, Red Bean, etc) all with alcohols in it, Chinese Sausage with addition of alcohols too. And didn’t do much, also checked out the Sports Department there. Then took some pictures all around. Pretty boring so far. :)

Another 2-3 hours ride, we finally reached nan tou, first off we went up the mountain to let us use the toilet. Then nearby there was a suspension bridge at first I saw it I was like “WOW! This is long” and one of the tour mates said,”You haven’t seen the rests of the places we’re gonna visit, keep your WOW for later.” I was actually stunned after her reply. Here are some pictures of it:-

Then we went to another place, to see these picturesque rocks, I can’t remember whats it called, it seems as if its a place for waterfall but I didn’t see the waterfall on the other end, but there’s like a small river underneath but these rocks were very pulchritudinous. Here are some pics of it:-

Then we went back to the hotel, had dinner, sang karaokes, drink all sorts of alcohol, wine, whiskey, beer, and all are taiwan made, even gamble mahjong & poker cards, and as soon as all are done we immediately head off to shower and hit the bed.

Next morning we woke up at 5.30AM, get ready, had breakfast at 6AM, then head over to the smaller bus, and took off for the main event, basically called as “Tian Ti” otherwise called as “Sky Staircase”, I’d prefer it as “Stairways to heaven”. ROFL! We started climbing the mountains and before we reached the Stairways to heaven, there’s another suspension bridge, and this time, its a freaking damn long one. Here’s some shots of it:-

Halfway through the suspension bridge there was a waterfall, but pretty faraway though. And I cannot get a perfect shot at it as the bridge was quivering a lot. And since its faraway I cannot get a close shot at it, however with binoculars u can see the a prefect clear view of the waterfall. =)

Alright here comes the main event! Just check out the pics and you will know.

Along the way on this bridge, on another mountain as told by the tour guide, there’s a clocked, not sure if it was human carved or the earthquake costed it to be that way, but yeah its a clock which dictates the time of the earthquake on the “921″ in Taiwan in 1999. The picture is not that clear, so you’d need to find the clock. Good luck finding it! =P

And lastly, on our trip back to hotel from that Stairways of heaven place, I took some pictures of the tea leaves planted on the mountains(seems pretty nice) and was being harvesting by the harvesters. Then later we had lunch, showered, got to a few more small places for visit, and he headed home. =)

Thats it! I wanted to apologize to you readers, if you’d think I didn’t do much writing/story telling here, cause its 2.25AM here, and I’m all drained from lotta stuffs and I’m fractionally ill, so yeah cut me some slack aight? Thats all for now, take care. =) See ya!
